Must Watch: Chuck Bartowski

For the past few weeks now, I have been addicted watching Chuck a series about a guy who's so intelligent that he can become a Human computer able to store all TOP secret and confidential files of NSA and CIA combined. It has humor, action and love story which makes it very entertaining. I sometimes imagine myself to be like Chuck Bartowski. lol!

Anyway last night while reading Wikipedia (the only non business website we're allowed to go to inside the office) I found out he's a Christian and here's what he has to say:

"Zachary Levi was raised Christian. During an interview with Relevant Magazine, he said, "My job on my set, I believe, is to first just love people and gain that trust with people where they know that I really do love them and care about their well-being, so that when they are running into problems, they will hopefully, at some point, come to me and ask me, 'What is your peace all about? What is your comfort all about? Where do you get your love? Where do you get your talents?' And I can turn to them and say without blinking, 'Jesus Christ'"."

Now, I just don't want to be like Chuck anymore. I want to be like Zachary Levi WHO makes it a goal to use his talents, his job and his life to proclaim *without blinking* who the source is: JESUS Christ!

Why Am I Not Blessed Yet?

A lot of us get disappointed when our prayers are unanswered.

A lot of us get discouraged when things aren't going the way we want it!

A lot of us then ask, "Where is God when I needed Him most?"

Can you relate? I can.

A lot of times, I asked, "Why Am I Not Blessed Yet?"

The Bible as always has the answer!

James wrote,

2You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. [James 4:2-3]

The issue is not whether God wants to bless us or not. In fact, God wants to bless us. That's already a given fact! [Gen. 12:3]

The question we should ask ourselves is "Why are we asking for the things we're asking?"

James clearly said, "we don't receive what we ask because we ask with wrong motives."

In Deut. 8:18,

Deuteronomy 8:18 (New King James Version)

18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.


Are we so good in asking for anything and when we receive it, do we immediately forget what the blessings are for?

In Deut. 8:18, the Word of the Lord says "He will give us POWER to get wealth!" Did he say for you to go and spend it for your selfish desires? No! He didn't. Instead he said, "That HE can ESTABLISH his covenant!"

Are we glorifying GOD with what we have now? Are we even giving our tithes faithfully? Are we even generous enough to share to the needy and hungry?

Some few things to check before asking today!

Blessed Are Those Who Dwell In Your House

Here's a PSALM for this Sunday for you to read and meditate on. This has blessed me and my prayer is for it to bless you as well!

Psalm 84

1 How lovely is Your tabernacle,
O LORD of hosts!

For the courts of the LORD;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;

You have been Blessed to be a Blessing

Genesis 12:2 (Contemporary English Version)
"I will bless you and make your descendants into a great nation. You will become famous and be a blessing to others."

On several posts, I have spoken about God’s plans of prosperity and success for our lives and about how God can give you an increase in what you do and in every endeavor you'd take. And these promises are ALL true.

A lot of Bible verses can prove this point, here are some:

Joshua 1:8 (New International Version)
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Psalm 66:12
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.

And a lot more verses/promises out there that we can believe in and claim for ourselves. Indeed this is a given FACT: God’s plan for you is to give you hope and a future!

But the cycle doesn’t stop there because the same Bible that says we will be blessed SO MUCH also says this:

Genesis 12:2 (New International Version)
"I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.

In Gen. 12:2, we see GOD promising to bless Abraham and to make his name great and make him into a great nation. But God didn't stop there instead continued by saying “and you will be a blessing”. In other versions, “…and be a blessing to others”. And you are Abraham’s seed.

Galatians 3:29
And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Being a seed gives you two things. First, you get to have the privilege of being blessed and for being recipient of the promises spoken to Abraham. Second thing is the accountability and responsibility for you to be, like Abraham a BLESSING to others.

We can believe that we will be blessed and I am sure that it will be done as God had promised but the question we should ask ourselves is this:

“Are we willing to be channels of blessings to our friends, family and others after we've been blessed?"

He Raises us UP to seat us with the Princes

Every Sunday in our Church, we always start it with Prayer and Praise and Worship to prepare and sanctify the place. I usually read a PSALM as I say my praises to the Lord. I have poste one Psalm for last Sunday which you can read here: The Happiness of Those Who Trust in God

For this sunday, here's the PSALM I have read and have been blessed with. I hope that it can work in your life as well by the power of the Holy Spirit.



Psalm 113 (New King James Version)


The Majesty and Condescension of God
1 Praise the LORD!

Praise, O servants of the LORD,
Praise the name of the LORD!
2 Blessed be the name of the LORD
From this time forth and forevermore!
3 From the rising of the sun to its going down
The LORD’s name is to be praised.

4 The LORD is high above all nations,
His glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like the LORD our God,
Who dwells on high,
6 Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?

7 He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,

With the princes of His people.

Praise the LORD!

Here's the Promise: HE will raise us up from our poverty and our state of "being in need" and will have us seated with the princes! Yes! From poverty to royalty! Praise the Lord!

We'll be the Head and we'll be at the TOP | CPDRC Inmates dancing Jai Ho

The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. You will always be at the top, never at the bottom, if you faithfully obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today.
Deut. 28:13

I'd like to share a video of CPDRC inmates here in the Philippines dancing to the tune of Jai Ho (soundtrack from Slumdog Millionaire). You may wonder why I'm posting about this. Let me share my point.

These people are inmates, prisoners and convicted of crimes. When I think about them (inmates and prisoners), I can't help but only imagine men with tattoos, men who are always angry with the world and men who seldom smile. (No Offense to them. God Loves them!)

But these Cebu Inmates are sensationally different.

They didn't allow their current situation to stop them from reaching the world and be famous. They didn't allow what other people think of them to dictate what will happen in their lives.

They started dancing to the tune of Michael Jackson's Thriller and their video in Youtube had now reached a total of 23 million views. You can watch it here. It was through this, that they gained popularity.


Right now,they have their newest offering which is their Dancing Video to the tune of Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire. This video is one good thing to watch for anybody to be inspired and be encouraged to come out and spread one's true potential. For anyone to keep God's promises and are to not be dictated by people's words and expectations. God has promised we will be the Head and not the Tail. He promised we will be at the TOP not the Bottom. That's our potential! If we don't claim it, it would just pass us by.

Let us be like these prisoners who really confidently came out to show what they can do!
